Supreme Court: Aregbesola Congratulates Governor Oyetola, Says Judgement Is Triumph Of Democracy

“God Has shown today that he is with us, he has been with us from Day 1 and he has finally stamped our collective resolve that his “will” will ultimately come to pass even with adversaries.”

Former Governor, state of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has congratulated Governor Gboyega Oyetola on his victory at the apex court.

Aregbesola in a statement noted that the verdict of the Supreme Court represents a triumph of democracy.

The former Governor said the judgement represents the true wishes of the Osun electorate who spoke in the September 22nd and 27th, 2018 governorship election.

The former governor was full of gratitude to leaders of the party for the support and commitment.
He also lauded efforts of members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress APC for their fervent prayers and support throughout the legal battle.

Aregbesola assured residents of Osun that the Governor Oyetola led administration would work assiduously to deliver on its promises to the people.

“I congratulate Governor Gboyega Oyetola on his victory at the Supreme Court.”

“Today’s Judgement is a manifestation of the fact that Osun people truly voted for continuity of good governance.”

“I also commend the Supreme Court Justices for standing by the truth and protecting the sanctity of our electoral process as well as the dictates of the law. Their position has vindicated us and affirmed the legality of the incumbent administration.”

“I must not forget to appreciate our party men and women as well as our supporters who stood with us during this journey. We are indeed very grateful as we pledge that the Oyetola administration will do its best to ensure the delivery of the dividends of democracy to our people.”

Aregbesola also urged the opposition to join hands with Governor Gboyega Oyetola in moving the state forward.
