Social, Night Life Returns To Osogbo After Ramadan
During the just-concluded holy month of Ramadan, social and nightlife which Osogbo, the capital of the state of Osun, was hitherto known for was suspended.
A visit to some of the recreational centers during the period revealed that social activities were nothing to write home about, with the outlets recording very low patronage.
Pubs and bars were the worst hit, as customer patronage was at the lowest ebb, forcing most of them close very early too, which is contrary to the usual bustling nightlife of the Osogbo metropolis.
However, Osun Defender reporter went around town yesterday and witnessed a massive turnaround of social and recreational activities.
The residence of Osogbo trooped out en-masse in celebration of the Eid-Fitri.
The recreational centers were back to life and bubbling during the day, while the majority of the pubs and bars from; Rivers side, to Value Bar, Dam J, O3, Ripples, Firewood, etc, were filled to the brim, most of the customers who arrived late found it difficult to get seats.
In most of the bars, local musicians were dishing out melodious tunes to the merriment of customers.
The managers of some of the places visited were happy that the Ramadan is over and that it is now business as usual.
