A quarrel has broken out between members of the House of Representatives from Rivers State and their colleagues from Imo State over the pardon granted wanted persons by Governor Rochas Okorocha.

The suspects reportedly took part in the January 1 deadly attacks in Omoku, Rivers State, where about 22 people were killed.

While the Rivers State Security Council declared them wanted, Okorocha reportedly granted the suspects amnesty.

A motion brought on the floor of the House in Abuja seeking to “condemn” Okorocha’s action has caused disagreements between lawmakers from the two states.
