Ramadan: Osun Deputy Chief Whip Tasks Muslims To Pray For Osun

The Deputy Chief Whip of State of Osun House of Assembly, Hon. Gbenga Ogunkanmi, has welcomed all the Muslim for the beginning of Islamic holy month of 1442 AH Ramadan fasting, following the sighting of the moon.
The lawmaker representing Ayedire state constituency, tasked Muslim faithfuls to use the period to pray for the progress of Osun and for peace to reign in all the troubled spots in the country.
Hon . Ogunkanmi urged all the Muslim to exercise patience and tolerance and preaches peace in the state.
The Lawmaker made the admonished while speaking to journalists at his office in Osun House Assembly in osogbo on Tuesday.
He prayed to Allah to accept Muslims’ sacrifices and increase the unity, solidarity, peace and prosperity of Osun. He urged them to use the period for sober reflection, self-discipline and sacrifice.

According to him,”As we start this year Ramadan, I pray that Allah will not deny us all the benefits of the month. May He grant us more than our request during the month and thereafter. Ameen. Ramadan Mubarak
” let me use this opportunity to appeal to all the Muslims across the state of our country, to remember our dear State and country in our prayers as we seek to overcome the challenges we are facing as a nation.

“I enjoin us to stress the importance of peace, love, generosity and unity in our teachings during this sacred period,” he said.
“Since we do not have another country, we should always seek divine intervention for our nation and the Ramadan season provides such a unique opportunity to collectively seek the face of Allah through prayer.”
He encouraged Muslims to “concentrate their spirit, soul and body in total submission to Allah this month and fervently pray for Nigeria,” he said.
