Police Arraigns Housewife Over Alleged Fraud

The State of Osun Police command has arraigned a 39-year-old housewife, Owolabi Deborah, before a Magistrate Court in Osogbo, State capital, over alleged fraud.
Persecutor Jafani Muslim, told the court that the accused person with one other at large, sometimes in April 2018, collected the sum of N500,000 from one Adams Olatunji under the pretense of securing a five bedroom flat for him.
Muslim said the offense committed contravened sections 383, 419 and 516 of the criminal code cap 34, vol. II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty of the charges levelled against her and her counsel, Barrister Eze Ngwoke prayed the court to grant her bail in the most liberal and affordable terms.
In his ruling, Magistrate Opeyemi Badmus granted the accused bail of N500,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till October 19, 2018.
