Governor Rauf Aregbesola of the State of Osun on Monday laid wreath in honour of Nigeria’s Slain soldiers in Osogbo.
The laying of wreath ceremony is an annual event in commemoration of January 15, the day Biafra Soldiers surrendered to Nigeria’s Armed Forces marking the end of the Nigerian Civil War in 1970.
Tagged the Armed Forces Remembrance Day, the event is also geared towards recognizing efforts of Nigeria’s armed forces in safeguarding the nation’s territorial integrity and as well celebrate the living legends.
At the event in Osun were the immediate past Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Aregbesola’s Deputy, Mrs Titi Laoye-Tomori, the SSG, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti as well as the Chairman, Nigerian Legion, Osun State, Col Alimi Samotu (Rtd.)
Here is the current look of the Abdulkareem Adebisi Akande Trumpet Interchange Bridge located at the heart of the Gbongan/Ibadan Expressway constructed by the Rauf Aregbesola administration in the State of Osun.
The bridge started late in 2012 is gradually taking shape with construction work nearing finishing touches.
The road will anytime from now be accessible and open to the public.

Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi alongside Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on Tuesday attended the Opening Ceremony of the 1st Western Nigeria Youth Summit.
The summit which seeks to provide the agenda of development of the region till the year 2040 is hosted by the State Government of Osun.
The summit is expected to end tomorrow Wednesday at the WOCDIF Events Centre in Osogbo.

Delegated Members of the Methodist Church of Nigeria on Friday gathered for the Annual Prayer visit to Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola at the Government House, Osogbo led by most Rev Amos A Akindeko – Archbishop ArchDiocese of Ilesha.
The Governor later joined Muslim faithfuls to observe the two rakat Jumat Prayers at the Central Mosque, Oja-Oba, Osogbo for the first time in 2018.
After the prayers, he was widely acknowledged by the waiting crowd.

Governor Rauf Aregbesola was on Sunday invited as Guest Speaker by Jama’atu Ta’awunil Muslimeen (Society of Nigeria) at the Closing Ceremony of the 19th Edition of her Annual National Conference in Iwo, State of Osun.
The Governor was joined at the event by dignitaries from all walks of life including the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdurasheed Adewale Akanbi.

The Aare Ona Kakanfo-Elect, Otunba Gani Adams on Wednesday visited Governor, State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola at the Government House in Osogbo. The new Aare Ona Kakanfo who will be installed as the 15th holder of the Yoruba Generalissimo title by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi has been making visitations to critical stakeholders ahead his assumption of office.
Otunba Gani Adams also interacted with some members of the Osun Executive Council.
