Governor Rauf Aregbesola of the State of Osun on Tuesday commissioned the Osun Workers Drive in Osogbo metropolis.
The 2.8km road was named Workers Drive to celebrate the state workforce for persevering with government during the financial quagmire that hit the state few years ago and to also mark the 40th Anniversary of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC.
The event was done by the Pioneer President of the NLC who is also an indigene of Osogbo, Comrade Hassan Sunmonu flanked by the State NLC Chairman, Comrade Jacob Adekomi.
At the epoch making ceremony were the Wife of the Governor, Alhaja Sherifat Aregbesola, the state deputy Governor, Mrs Titi Laoye Tomori, Traditional Rulers, Party Leaders, Top Government Functionaries and workers.
