Oyo Government Warns Residents On High-Voltage Power Cables

Oyo State Government has warned residents of the State to desist from trading under high-voltage power cables and on the streets.

It also admonished residents of the state to be cautious of their activities and waste disposal habits during the rainy season.

Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr Toye Arulogun in a statement made available to journalists on Monday in Ibadan reiterated the government’s commitment to people’s welfare.

He called on them to be wary of staying under the electric wire/pole especially during raining season.

Arulogun added that the government owed the citizens to sensitise and educate them against natural disasters.

He then appealed to the citizens to protect government’s properties against vandals, saying that resources expended on vandalised properties could be channelled to other areas.
