Oyetola Aides Optimistic Of Ijesa People’s Support For Gov’s Re-election

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the State of Osun on Special Duties and Regional Integration, Hon. Samson Owoyokun has expressed optimism on the chances of his principal to get the overwhelming support from Ijesa sons and daughters in the 2022 governorship elections.

Owoyokun also assured the people that ongoing transformational and developmental projects of the present administration will not be truncated.

The governor’s aide made the statement at the APC secretariat in Isokun, Ilesa West local government where he celebrated with elderly women to commemorate this year’s International Womens and Mothers Day respectively.

Owoyokun said, “nothing is too much or big to celebrate our mothers for the significant roles they have and are playing in our lives.”

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor who used the occasion to highlight the achievements of the administration in the last two years admonished women at the event to publicise the good works of the government.

He said, “if given the mandate to continue for another term, implementing the lofty ideas that will showcase Osun as a preferred destination in Agriculture, Education, Health, Commerce and so on will be top priorities.”

“Ijesaland must reciprocate the good gestures of Mr. Governor in 2022 with mouth watering votes for his reelection,” he said.

Also speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Remi Omowaiye appealed to APC members to remain unshaken in their resolve to support Governor, noting the policies of the government is geared towards improving the lives of the people.

One hundred and sixty women went home with gifts containing cash, clothing material, foodstuff, KN95 nosemask all courtesy of Mr Owoyokun.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Madam Bose Asagidigbi applauded Owoyokun for choosing to identify with women and prayed for God’s guidance for him and the governor.

Political leaders at the event were Hon. Ademola Phillip, Hon. Olabode Segun, Hon. Benson, Hon. Taiwo Ogunmokun, Hon. Bode, Hon. Kola Obeta and the women leaders of Ilesa West LG and Ilesa West Central LCDA.
