Osun Election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja has adjourned till March 7 for the adoption of final address after the All Progressive Congress (APC) closed its case.

The APC counsel closed their case after calling two witnesses at the resumed hearing of the matter on Wednesday.

The Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke is challenging the declaration of the Osun governor, Gboyega Oyetola during the September 22, 2018 election and September 27 supplementary poll.

In proving the allegations in the petition, the petitioner called 80 witnesses and tendered Certified True Copies of the materials used for the poll.

In defence, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) called no witness, but relied on the CTC of the documents already tendered on the ground that the documents had proven that the result declared was in line with the votes cast by the electorate during the election.

Also, Oyetola’s legal team called 11 witnesses to testify in defence of his declaration.
