Osun NUJ Holds Memorial Lecture In Honour Of Late Reporter Tomorrow

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Osun State Council will on Thursday, 22nd March, 2018 hold a memorial lecture in honour of former reporter at the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC), Nathaniel Abimbola, who passed on in a ghastly motor accident on Ikire – Ibadan road.
This was contained in a statement issued by the State Secretary of NUJ, Boladale Bamigbola on Wednesday.
Until his death on the 24 of March, last year, Nathaniel Abimbola was the Parliamentary reporter of OSBC.
The statement disclosed that the former Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Prof Mojeed Alabi will speak on “Current Challenges of the Nigerian Political System: Some suggestions for the way forward.”
“Former Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly and now member, House of Representatives, Abuja, Prof. Rt. Hon. Mojeed Alabi  is the Guest Lecturer of the Memorial Lecture which holds at the NUJ Press Centre, Iwo road, Osogbo at 11am
“The Speaker, State of Osun House of Assembly, Rt Hon.Najeem Salaam and President, Customary Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice Gloria Oladoke are Special Guests of Honour of the Memorial Lecture, according to the statement,” it reads.
The statement added that other members of the State Parliament will be Special Guests on the occasion.
The occasion would be chaired by the Secretary General, Yoruba Council of Elders, Dr. Kunle Olajide, while the Olowu of Kuta, Oba Hammed Adekunle Oyelude will be the Royal father of the day.
The State Commissioners for Information & Strategy, Mr. Lani Baderinwa and Science, Innovation & Technology, Engr. Remi Omowaiye are expected at the lecture as special guests.
The statement invited friends, fans and admirers of late Nathaniel Abimbola to the Memorial lecture.
