Osun Gov Increases OYES Allowance

Governor of the State of Osun, Mr Gboyega Oyetola has increased the allowance of cadets of the Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (OYES).

The State Governor increased the monthly allowance of OYES ad-hoc to N12,500 from N10,000 and OYES teachers corps to N15,000 from N10,000.

Gov. Oyetola made this known during a courtesy visit by the 30 local government and area office led by Commandant EniIbukun Oyewola Rtd at the Government house in Osogbo.

Oyetola who noted that OYES is a wonderful legacy scheme, added that it must be sustained despite paucity of funds.

He also revealed that there would be periodic review of the allowance scale of the OYES based on resources available in the state.

The Governor commended the OYES corps for their discipline, resilence and organization, while also asking for the support of all stakeholders for the administration.

In his address, the Minister for Health, Professor Isaac Adewole who was a present dignitary at the visit, confessed his love for the OYES.

He also attested that OYES continuity is a testimony for lasting legacy, and he urged the corps on hundred percent loyalty to the present governments.

Prof. Adewole urged all stakeholders to ensure that OYES continuity remain successful, adding that the legacy must be built on.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme Commandanté EniIbukun Oyewole rtd, congratulated Governor Oyetola for the victory of President Mohammadu Buhari’s re-election, and also commended the Governor for his hard work and commitment to youth empowerment in the State.
