An Agent of the All Progressives Congress APC for Saturday’s Osun Governorship Election at Unit 05 Ward 09, United Primary School, Esa Odo in Oriade local government area of the State, Adebiyi Ajibade was killed after the election by alleged PDP thugs.
An account has it that “The sad story of how Adebiyi Ajibade (APC Esa-Odo Party Agent) was hacked to death by PDP thugs after the elections on Saturday 22 Sept. 2018. The ugly incident started from Polling Booth Unit 05 Ward 09, United Primary School, Esa Odo around 12:00 noon on Saturday, 22nd September 2018.”
“Some Esa Odo PDP & ADP members who are also cult members, their names include the following : 1. Oladele Seye. 2. Oladele Kunle, 3. Arubiewe Kunle, 4. Arubiewe Ayo, 5. Ayegbusi Abiodun, 6. Ajayi Iseoluwa, 7. Oyewole Femi, requested for money from APC party agents at the polling booth claiming they voted for APC, which is a lie, as everyone knew they voted PDP and boasted about it.”
The account revealed that ” The Party agent told them categorically that no money was given to him or any other member to buy votes and that the party was not sharing money. The PDP thugs threatened and harassed the party agents and told them not to leave the polling unit or get out of town tonight. On his way home later in the evening at about 8:30 pm, the deceased person (late Adebiyi Ajibade) & his friend Mr. Femi Egundabi waited for Mr. Asubiaro Olasunkanmi at Abosad filling Station Esa Odo.”
“They sighted these same guys that demanded for money for voting coming in their direction with arms & ammunitions such as axe, knife and cutlass, and they attack them. The deceased person (Adebiyi Ajibade) was stabbed in the heart, while Femi Eegundabi Femi was able to escape from the gang. Mr. Adebiyi Ajibade was rushed to a private hospital (Odufunke Hospital Ijeda-Ijesha) for treatment at about 9.30 pm on Saturday 22nd September, 2018.”
“He was treated throughout that night but he gave up the ghost on Sunday morning around 6.00 am. This case has been reported at Esa-Oke police station. The body of deceased has been deposited at Wesley Hospital, Ilesha.”
