Moving to Politics, APC Lawmakers set for Senate President Saraki’s impeachment heads THE GUARDIAN. The plot to impeach Senate President Bukola Saraki thickened yesterday as federal lawmakers on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) resolved to forcibly reconvene the National Assembly and carry out the plan. During a meeting with APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, at the Abuja Sheraton Hotel and Towers, the legislators from both chambers of the assembly vowed they would deploy their numerical strength to achieve the goal ‘‘in the interest of the country.’’ Oshiomhole, who thanked the lawmakers for keeping faith with the ideals of the party, stressed that with APC’s 196 of the 360-strong House of Representatives and 56 of 109 senators, the coast was clear to take binding decisions.

DAILY INDEPENDENT also discloses the plot of APC to impeach their former member lawfully but with a different headline that reads; Oshiomhole dangles automatic ticket before APC lawmakers. THE PUNCH picks on APC Chairman Adams Oshiomhole words on the steps to take on the Sarkai’s impeachment claims saying; Oshiomhole: Saraki will be lawfully and democratically impeached, I insist that 49 senators cannot preside over the affairs of a house in which APC has 56 senators.  THE NATION takes a different turn revealing that Saraki’s refusal to recall National Assembly is brewing anger.

New Telegraph closes the curtain on headlines today saying; 2019; Saraki consults OBJ as Tambuwal Parleys Atiku. The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, yesterday held consultations with former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Also, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State on Sunday held a parley with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over the 2019 presidential poll. Both Tambuwal and Atiku are contesting for the PDP presidential ticket. Saraki, who was accompanied by his aides, however, kept mum on the reconvening date of the National Assembly. The visit, which lasted about two hours behind closed doors, held at the ex-president’s residence within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta.
