Osinbajo Launches #TraderMoni In Iwo

Barring any last minute change, Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo alongside Governor Rauf Aregbesola of the State of Osun will launch the TraderMoni programme for itinerant traders and market women at the Odo-Ori market in Iwo, Osun State on Monday.

Osinbajo is expected to be received by Aregbesola at Baptist Elementary School Iwo.

The duo are expected to address 30, 000 traders and market women on the N10, 000 TraderMoni loan put in place by the Federal Government and managed by the Bank of Industry to assist their capital base.

The programme in Osun State which kick started in Osogbo on Thursday saw traders converged on the Orisumbare market in the ancient town queuing to confirm the receipt of the loan after due registration.

The development was greeted with cheers from all and sundry as Traders trooped to the venue of the event to benefit from the programme.

A trader who doubles as an actress, Mrs Toyin Oladiran who sells Yam Flour at the Woru Market, Agunbelewo, Osogbo praised the federal government for the initiative.

She said the amount will go and long way in supporting their businesses underscoring the need for other market men and women to key into #TraderMoni scheme.

“What the federal government has done is good. No matter how small money might be, it is of high importance to businesses. When we utilize this very well, we are sure that credit facilities such as this in millions will come our way.”

Reports reaching OsunDefender from Iwo says that the programme has kicked off at the Odo-Ori Market while Petty Traders and Market men and Women are queuing for the #TraderMoni loan.
