OSHA Deputy Chief Whip, Ogunkanmi Tasks Nigerian Youths On Productivity

The Deputy Chief Whip, Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbenga Ogunkanmi has felicitated with Nigerians on the successful crossover to the New Year 2021.

Ogunkanmi posited that despite the ups and downs that characterised 2020, the New Year promises the restoration of all lost to the various challenges of the outgone year.

The lawmaker representing Ayedire state constituency in the state parliament also called on Nigerians to always be ambassadors of peace wherever they find themselves.

Ogunkanmi while speaking with journalists in his hometown, Ile-Ogbo, said ” I would like to thank and praise the Almighty God who saw us through the year 2020 and has given us the opportunity to witness the start of another year. ”

“We all have been granted the divine grace to witness the dawn of a new year today, I would like to seize this opportunity to urge Youths to shun Violence and embrace peace in the society.

“I wish to also appeal to our teeming youths, whom we all look up to as the future leaders of this country, to begin to see themselves as worthy agents that God can use to midwife the birth of the Nigeria of our dreams.

“I urge them to be more productive, responsible and hardworking. I assure them that the present crop of leadership from the federal to the local government level will continue to give them moral and spiritual support, among others, to ensure our collective victory over the enemies of this country.

“As a lawmaker, I will continue to play my role to sponsor and promote bills to foster the development of our constituency and our dear state as we desire for national prosperity.

The Deputy Chief Whip of the Osun House of Assembly however urged Osun residents to continue to support the government led by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for the prosperity of the state.
