Olorunda North LCDA Begins Grading Of Dilapidated Roads

Management of Olorunda North Local Council Development (LCDA) under the leadership of Hon Quadri Owonikoko has begun massive grading of roads across the council area.

The leadership of the council started the grading of dilapidated roads across the LCDA to ease movement of persons in and out of beneficiary communities.

The beneficiary communities include: Aanu Oluwapo, Orisun Ayo, Ifelodun, Adejumobi, Ajisebiyawo, Oyerolagada, Abegi-Aanu and Fishery department of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Owonikoko while flagging off the exercise commended the Governor of the state of Osun, Mr Gboyega Oyetola for compelling all the councils to embark on the grading exercise in order to alleviate the suffering of the masses, particularly at the rural areas.

Owonikoko, said distributing money cannot be compare to consolidating on infrastructure development being embarked upon by the progressive government of APC.

He used the opportunity to canvass votes for all the candidates of APC in the forthcoming general elections, as he assured residents of more dividends of democracy, saying his administration will continue to prioritized their needs at all time.

Vice Chairman of the council, Hon Abiodun Ajisebiyawo and the leader of the parliament, Hon Wale Omidiran while corroborating the chairman, urged the beneficiary communities not to relent in their support for the government and also to protects all government properties in their areas.

They said, the council,  prior to this time has sunk eight boreholes across the eight wards that make up Olorunda North LCDA, adding that the administration of Owonikoko has also built a maternity centre in the council within a short time in office.

The APC candidate for Olorunda state Constituency, Hon. Kunle Akande, was full of praises to Owonikoko-led administration, saying, the progressive government will continue to better the lot of the populace.

Akande then pleaded with the communities to support the government and also beware of politicians that will want to buy their votes.

Representatives of the communities who spoke at the event poured encomium on the leadership of Olorunda LCDA, as they promised to keep supporting the administration of Owonikoko and also to mobilize for all APC candidates in the next elections.
