Suspected armed robbers in the early hours of Tuesday shot and killed a commercial motorcyclist simply identified as Ayomo in Erin Osun, a town in Irepodun Local Government area of Osun state.

After killing the deceased, the perpetrators were said to have taken away the newly bought motorcycle he used for commercial purposes.

Sources said the corpse of the late Ayomo, was found behind Kabello filling station in Erin-Osun around 6:00am by some residents of the area.

The deceased said to be living at Elesin’s Compound, Erin Osun, sources said, may have been lured out by those that eventually killed him under the guise of hiring him to transport them to another part of the town.

A commercial motorcycle operator in Erin Osun, said many okada riders in the area have fell victims of armed robbery attacks in the past.

The body of the deceased was later taken to Ojutu police station in Ilobu by some of his colleagues.

Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of Osun state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Babawale Afolabi, said security operatives would collaborate to apprehend those behind the act.
