Odo-Otin North LCDA Reiterates Commitment To Rehabilitation Of Accessible Roads

The management of Odo-Otin North Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has reiterated that the promotion of general welfare and well being of the people through rehabilitation and opening up of accessible rural roads would continue to be the priority of the administration.

These were the assertions of the council chairman, Hon. Akeem Seriki and the leader of the council’s parliament, Hon. Isaac Omogoye during the inspection of the completed and ongoing projects executed by the works department led by Engineer Taofik Adeyemo.

This is contained in a statement by the head of Social Development and Information department, Mr Samuel Abioye.

Seriki, according to the statement commended the prompt execution of the grading of rural feeder roads, such as Owode market via Esegun to Otan-Ayegbaju road, Oyan; Alagba Isale road, Oroki Oke and Oroki Isale to Ila-Orangun boundary, Asaba; Lapiti road to Kwara state boundary in Asi; Old road of Ijabe to Ila-Odo; and Central Mosque to Oyan road, Ijabe and Kajola road along Konta to Ila-odo maternity centre, Ila-odo.

Also, some ongoing projects inspected are re-construction of collapsed bridge of General Hospital road, Oyan; and mass renovation of Primary Health Centres across the council secretariat.

Seriki and Omogoye in their separate comment said that the successes recorded on the projects so far show that the administration was committed to making lives meaningful for the people of the council.

They noted that they would not relent in ensuring that the people of the council get the best interms of dividends of democracy.

In their separate reactions, Evangelist Oluwole Adegoke, a Community leader; Mr Julius Efunwole, a farmer and Mrs Saberedowo, a trader, showered encomium on the management of the council and the governor of the state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for their efforts at developing the council area.

Others on the entourage were, Hon Adekeye Gbenga, vice chairman; Hon (Mrs) Odenusi Kemi, deputy leader; Hon Rasheed Raji Ropo; Mrs Adedeji Eunice Ike ola, Council Manager; Mr Fasina Lawrence, Head of Administration and General services; Mr Ajayi Gbenga, head of Finance and Supply among others.
