The Chairman, Obokun East Local Council Development Area in State Of Osun, Hon. Olalekan Isola Omole has assured that his administration would do everything humanly possible to promote culture and tourism.

He spoke recently in Imesi Ile, as the community played host to thousands of people across religious and cultural lines where what could be best described as culture at its very best was showcased at the tri-annual Ladunwo festival.

Speaking at the occasion, the council chairman asserted that the festival has come to stay as it has become a rallying point for the gathering of Imesi Ile sons and daughters at home and in diaspora, adding that the occasion should be channeled at achieving greater unity.

The council boss further called on the people of the town to avail themselves the opportunity of the peace and unity coupled with rich cultural heritage that abounds in the community.

In an interactive session with a community leader, Chief Omo Williams, he congratulated the monarch of the town, Oba Enoch Ademola Akinyemi (Oyoyo II), the oganisers of the festival and sons and daughters of Imesi Ile, for a job well done.

He charged the people to join hands with the government in its efforts at making life meaningful to everybody.

The highlight of the events was the calisthenics display and various dancing steps of masquerades before the congregation while blessings were received from Ladunwo.
