Nigerian Stock Exchange Reverses Loss

The Nigerian stock exchange has on Wednesday gained some 1.38% points to reverse its two day consecutive loss.

The All Share Index closed at 33,598.20 basis points, gaining 456.35 basis points when compared to Tuesday’s closing of 33,141.85 basis points.
Likewise, the market capitalisation for Wednesday closed at 11.618 trillion Naira, gaining 158 billion Naira when compared to Tuesday’s closing of 11.460 trillion Naira.

Investors traded 7.6 million shares worth 6.3 billion Naira in 7,357 deals.
In today’s equities market, 36 stocks gained, 22 fell while others closed flat.
TOP GAINERS
MAY & BAKER NIGERIA PLC closed at N3.78 per share, a 35 kobo or 10.20 per cent gain on previous closing price of N3.43 per share.
ASHAKA CEM PLC closed at N14.07 per share, gaining N1.30 or 10.18 per cent on the previous closing price of N12.77 per share.
UNILEVER NIGERIA PLC closed at N40.70 per share, gaining N3.70 or 10 per cent on the previous closing price of N37 per share.

TOP LOSERS
INTERNATIONAL BREWERIES lost N1.44 or 4.80 per cent, closing at N28.56 per share as against price of N30 per share on Tuesday.
CUTIX PLC lost 9 kobo or 4.62 per cent loss when it closed at N1.86 per share as compared to previous closing price of N1.95 per share.
7-UP BOTTLING COMP. PLC followed with N4.20 or 4.44 per cent loss when it closed at N90.30 per share as compared to previous closing price of N94.50 per share.
