Following the death of Bamise Ayanwole and the arrest of the Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) driver involved, it appears that BRT drivers have suspended operations for fear of attack following the death of a 22-year-old.
Passengers were left stranded Tuesday morning at the various Bus Rapid Transit terminals across Lagos state with no bus in sight.
It appears the suspension is a security measure aimed at preventing a repeat of the burning of several BRT buses like it happened during the EndSARS protest.
