tinubuThe Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) has reaffirmed its confidence in the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) over ongoing merger talks between the two parties, affirming that “Senator Tinubu will not fail us.”

Responding to the allegation of hobnobbing with President Goodluck Jonathan by Senator Tinubu, the National Publicity Secretary of CPC, Mr Rotimi Fashakin, told the Nigerian Tribune that his party trusted the ACN leader despite reports that the ACN might not be committed to the merger talks.

“We in the CPC believe that the merger is irreversible. We believe the ACN is a close ally and we believe Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not fail us in the ongoing efforts to build a formidable party to dethrone PDP,” Fashakin said.
