Management Bans FEDPOFFA Kegite Club

The Management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa has placed indefinite suspension on the activities of Kegite Club International inside and outside the campus for security threat in the institution.

The school Security department through the Chief Security Officer, Prince M. Ibrahim issued out the suspension on the club activities last week.

Prince Ibrahim in its statement stated, “It has come to the notice of the management that the recent activities of the club are becoming a threat to the security of the Polytechnic community”

“This is borne out of fact that members have politicized the activities of the club and gone to the extent of threatening members of the community.”

According to him, the affiliation of the club with political groups, such as Liberation and Reformation has posed a great threat to the peace of the polytechnic community and Offa community as a whole.

It was gathered that the recent selection of the club executive members, have on three occasion been inconclusive, due to the crisis that trailed the selection process.

Meanwhile, the intrusion of political groups has created division in the group, a situation that has resulted to the group members threatening one another.

It was gathered that Kegite club FEDPOFFA branch issue has caused crisis among the club across campuses nationwide

Prince Ibrahim then warned that the indefinite suspension must be strictly adhered to by members of the club, saying that whoever goes against the management decision would face Students Disciplinary Committee and might lead to expulsion.
