Martin Opeyemi, 22, has been arraigned before an Osogbo magistrate court for alleged sexual harassment.

Opeyemi was docked on a one-count charge of sexual harassment.

The prosecutor Inspector Jafani Muslim told the court that the defendant committed the offence on May 6 at about 3.20 pm at Olaiya in Osogbo.

He pressed further that the suspect conducted himself in disorderly manner to waylay two ladies known as Hamsat Kafayat and Adeleke Mariam.

Jafani said the accused lured the two ladies into love affairs whereas his intention was to subject them into sexual harassment without the consent of their parents or guardians.

He also submitted that the offence is contrary to and punishable under Section 247(d) of the criminal code cap 34 volume 11.laws of Osun 2003.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge slammed against him.

The Defence counsel Barrister Okobe Najite applied for his client bail in the most liberal and affordable terms.

He said the defendant has a reliable and credible surety who is ready to  stand for him.

The Magistrate Mr O. T Badmus granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety.

He said the surety must reside within the court jurisdiction and must be a person of character who is gainfully employed and must be a tax payer.

The case was adjourned to June 8 for hearing.
