Lawan/Gbajabiamila: Salinsile Hails APC’s Stand As NASS Leadership Emerges

The State Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun has congratulated the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole on the emergence of Senator Ahmad Lawan as Senate President and RT Hon Olufemi Gbajabiamila as Speaker of the 9th National Assembly.

Salinsile in a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Osogbo described the victory as well deserved, in view of the party’s resolution to entrench discipline within its rank.

According to him, the Distinguished Senator Ahmad Lawan and Rt Hon Olufemi Gbajabiamila’s capacity and astuteness were not in doubt as both are experienced and loyal party men who had contributed to wellbeing of the party and Nigeria at large.

He said, “I am, therefore, not surprised by their emergence as leaders of 9th National Assembly. It is well deserved and is no doubt in recognition of their commitment to party course and above, the national interest for the sustenance of democracy in Nigeria.

“Let me thank our revered leaders who make this a reality, particularly our National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, the National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Governor Gboyega Oyetola, members of the National Working Committee of our great party and many other leaders across the country.

“Once again, l must not fail to commend our members in both Chambers who stood on the path of history commiting all they have to reaffirm party’s resolution. Also, to the opposition who believes in the Nigeria project beyond their party’s interest and exhibit patriotism to their calling as legislators.

“I congratulate Senate President, Speaker and other principal officers and wish them the best in their new assignment. I am confident that their performance in this new capacity will surpass the expectations of Nigerians.
