The Landlords Association of Oke-Anu/Kuguaye Community in Ede, Ede-South Local Government Council Area of Osun State, has commended Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s administration for his six integral action-plan designed to develop Osun State.
Spokesperson of the association, Alhaji Suleiman Lawal, disclosed that the six-point agenda of the governor would bring government much nearer to the people at the grassroots and banish poverty, unemployment and insecurity.
Lawal said this last Tuesday, while addressing members of the association, during a brief meeting over the development of the community.
He noted that the state, particularly, Ede community, has been calm and peaceful since the present administration took the mantle of leadership in the state.
“Eradication of poverty, banishment of hunger in the state is another way of initiating relief to the grassroots people and it is a way to guarantee food security and increment in the sales of the market men and women”, he said.
Lawal maintained that the calibre of people in the Aregbesola cabinet would be useful to laudable achievements of the governor compared to the ousted government of the sacked Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who used all state resources for personal benefits, not caring about the plight of its citizens.
According to him, grassroots development usually goes with implementation of desired programmes, which would better uplift the standard living of the people.
Lawal promised; “As good leadership goes with meaningful examples, we will make sure youths of our area are best tutored, towards being better representatives of the state”.
He further appealed to the newly-inaugurated Chairman and members of the Caretaker Committee of Ede-South Local Government Council Area for the completion of some of the abandoned projects in the council area.
