The Principal of Ede Muslim High School, Ede, Osun state has been arrested by the police in connection with the testimonial he  issued to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for the coming September 22 governorship election, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

According to an online medium, CityMirrorNews, the Principal has been transferred to Nigeria Police Force-Interpol, Alagbon Close, Etiosa, Ikoyi, Lagos for interrogation.

Recall that two members of PDP, Rasheed Olabayo and Oluwaseun Idowu, had approached the court that Senator Adeleke did not possess Certificate as required by Section 177 (d) of the 1999 constitution.

The duo of the PDP members told the court to set aside the July 21st, 2018 primary election which produced him as the governorship candidate of the PDP in the state.

When the case was heard last week, Justice David Oladimeji explained that granting the leave to restrain the PDP from presenting Adeleke as its governorship candidate over his inability to present his certificate may subject the court to mockery if the Senator thereafter presents the certificate.

However, the plaintiffs in the case on Wednesday, hinted the court on their decision to withdraw the case and settle out of court.

The court however adjourned to August 6 for hearing of all applications before it.
