The adage that says “It is good to train a man to fish rather than giving him fish” has been put to reality by Iwo West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in conjunction with the United Nations Development Program and the National Orientation Agency (NOA) by organizing a 2- day empowerment programme for 250 selected residents of the council.

Moshood Adeoti, the chairman of Iwo West LCDA, Hon. Ezekiel Adedibu admonished the participants to be up and doing in their various vocational skills being trained on.
He also promised financial assistance in no distance time to assist them in their various vocations.

The council boss noted that this can be fully attained if everyone can be up and doing in all their civic duties to the government especially, in the payment of taxes and levies.
