Ecstasy pervaded the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp, Ede, State of Osun recently when the management team of Isokan South Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ikoyi-Osun led by Prince Wasiu Oyetunji Oyelami donated chairs, bucket and other accessories for the use of Corps members serving in the state.
While receiving the gifts, the State Coordinator of NYSC, Mr. Emmanuel Attah and the Zonal Inspector of NYSC Mr. Alo Emmanuel thanked the council chairman and his entourage for their kindness and assistance to the Corps members, promising to use the items donated judiciously to enhance the living conditions of the corps members posted to the state.
In his own response, the chairman Isokan South LCDA, Prince Oyelami commended the founding fathers of the NYSC for their foresight, saying the scheme has ensured unity and expanded knowledge of young men and women from different ethnic and religious background.
Oyelami reiterated that due to the roles the corps members play, any financial commitments to their welfare would not be considered a waste, but sensible and profitable investment which would benefit the future of the young ones and the country at large.
He reiterated further that the donation was his own administration’s assistance and determination to partner with the NYSC.
