The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), has attributed the unstable electricity supply in Osun, Oyo, Ogun and Kwara states to low power allocation by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

IBEDC is supplying electricity to Ogun,
Oyo, Ibadan, Osun and Kwara regions.

According to IBEDC in a public service announcement yesterday, TCN has reduced its weekly average power allocation to 368.5MW from 692.5MW.

The company said the low power allocation led to massive load shedding across its franchise.

The company however said it was working with stakeholders in the electricity
valuechain on a sustainable resolution.
