With over 20 years cross continent experience across Banking, Finance, Public Sector, Telecoms and International Development, Femi Adeniran is one of West Africa’s leading Program Directors with extensive senior level experience in Business Development, Corporate and Investor Relations, Strategic Planning, Portfolio and Program management, Risk Management as well as Marketing and Communications. An expert in planning and implementing result-oriented deliverables; Femi has consistently leveraged expert skills in stakeholder engagement to connect people with products, services and ideas. Through his career, he has developed a keen sensitivity to people from diverse cultural backgrounds building an almost unrivaled network of contacts along the way. 

Until recently, Femi was the Director of Global Partnerships at One Million Teachers’ – a global sustainable education and development organization present in Canada and 15 African countries. A responsibility he ran concurrently with his role as Lead Partner and Chief Executive of Strategy BSG – a company headquartered in North America, specialized in developing in developing corporate strategy and project management for global organizations.

Prior to that, He was head of PR, Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement at Airtel Nigeria where he was responsible for – amongst other things, working with high level internal and external stakeholders, partners and governments to develop and implement strategies and programs that were consistent with the organization’s global vision.

Before joining Airtel in 2014, Femi Adeniran served in government as Senior Special Assistant Public Affairs/Government PR to the governor of Osun where he was responsible for providing high-level strategy, coordination and the management of public relations platforms of the office of the Governor. He was also responsible for supporting the coordination and management of engagements of critical stakeholders across various groups (regional governments, community groups, private sector stakeholders etc.).

Earlier to his time in government, Femi had spent 13 years in the Banking and Financial services industry – first with Guaranty Trust Bank and later, Wema Bank, rising through the ranks and handling a range of responsibilities and portfolios across Corporate Affairs, Investor Relations and Engagement, Corporate Banking, Operations, Strategic Partnerships and Sustainability. In these, he played critical roles in the global and regional expansion programs of both banks, which includedlistings, capital raising projects, brand positioning as well as brand enhancement.

An accountant by training, Femi Adeniran’s experience spans Africa, the United Kingdom and North America combining a deep understanding of the Nigerian, African and Global environment with rich hands-on experience in helpingorganizations negotiate and build profitable enterprises.

His expertise in selling, value creation and leveraging goodwillled to his appointment as Chief of Staff to the Vice-Presidential candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria in the 2011 Nigeria elections, which provided him the opportunity of being a key member of the Ribadu/Adeola campaign team.

Born on June 1, 1976, the Lagos Business School Alumnus had his early education at Maryland Convent Private School Ikeja from where he proceeded to Federal Government College Ogbomosho for his secondary education. He holds a Diploma in Accounting and a B. Sc. in the same field from the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye. He had his post-graduate studies in Sales and Marketing at the Humber College, Canadaand holds certifications from the Harvard University. He ispresently taking the global leadership MBA programme of the Sandermoen Business School, University of Fredericton Canada.

Femi is a member of the ICT policy commission of Nigerian Economic Summit Group, a Fellow of the Institute of Brand Management of Nigeria, an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and a certified Project Management Professional. Femi has also attended various courses at the Lagos Business School and the International School of Communications,United Kingdom.

Over the years, he earned several career recognitions some of which include the Corporate Affairs Banker of the year at the Nigerian Financial Institutions award and the distinguished career award by the Green Hope foundation among several other nominations by credible organizations.

A prince from the Ataoja lineage in Osogbo and happily married, Femi ADENIRAN is the promoter and Co-Founder of Sarah’s Nest – an International Standard Creche & Pre-school that specializes in Child Care services in line with Global Montessori Standards.
