The Imo State Police Command have debunked rumours circulating on social media that Imo State House of Assembly is on fire.

This was disclosed by spokesman of State Police Command, Orlando Ikeokwu, who confirmed that the fire news was false, told our correspondent on phone: “Disregard please,  none of the above.”

According to LEADERSHIP on-the-spot findings showed the building of the state legislature intact and without any form of activity.

The social media space and phone calls had claimed the State Assembly building was set ablaze by unidentified people while circulating a fake video purportedly showing the Imo State Assembly building on fire.
