Two ministers in the Jonathan presidency, Musiliu Obanikoro (Defence), Jelili Adesiyan (Police Affairs) and Anambra State-born PDP chieftain, Chris Uba, are currently going around Ekiti State with mobile policemen and soldiers, harassing members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State.
The mobile policemen and soldiers with the PDP chieftains are all wearing green arm-bands.
We have it on good authority that the three are planning to use their boys to hijack ballot boxes as part of their plans to rig the election in favour of PDP.
The three, Obanikoro, Adesiyan and Uba are not Ekiti indigenes. They are also not registered voters in the state.
The APC in Ekiti State has called on President Goodluck Jonathan to immediately withdraw them from Ekiti State. Their presence in the state has already compromised the sanctity of the election, but their continued stay will be resisted by Ekiti people, a party official said
“We urge the international community and civil society organisations to prevail on President Jonathan to rise above party affiliation and act like a true statesman by calling his men to order.
