Ekiti All Progressive Congress (APC) showed their displeasure in Governor Ayodele Fayose for adopting his Deputy, Prof Kolapo Olusola, as the preferred candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP without conducting a primary election.

APC assured its aspirants of free, fair and transparent primary where the best and preferred candidate that will fly the flag of APC in the 2018 governorship election will emerge.

The state Chairman of the party, Mr Jide Awe, said that the choice of Olusola by Governor Fayose has made the job easier for APC to send the PDP packing in 2018 and to effect change and create development.

Awe, who was represented by the Vice-Chairman, Mrs Kemi Olaleye, made the remarks while receiving the 25th aspirants of the party, Ajayi Olatunji Olowo, who came to submit a letter of intent for the 2018 gubernatorial race at the party Secretariat.

“We in APC parades quality aspirants who can defeat the best Fayose can offer. The least among our numerous aspirants can beat Olusola whom Fayose is forcing down on his party’s throat and that is why we will send him packing in 2018.

“We in APC don’t deceive the people by adopting a system that ensures that it is only his choice that emerges. We assure all our aspirants of free, fair and transparent primaries.
