An Osogbo Magistrate  Court has ordered that two suspected cultists be remanded in Ilesa prison custody over alleged murder.

The suspects are 22 year-old Ridwan Akande and Oluwagbotemi Oni.

The Prosecutor,  Inspector.  Joshua Oladoye,  had told the court that the defendants who happened to be members of Aiye confraternity committed the offence on Aug.  5, 2017 , at about 6:30 p.m., at old garage area,  Osogbo.

Oladoye said the defendants conspired together and with others at large to kill one   Bintu Anifowose,  by shooting her with a gun for unknown reasons.

He said, the offence contravened sections 324 and 319(1) of the criminal code cap34 vol.  11 , laws of Osun, 2003.

They pleaded not guilty to the count charges preferred against them.

The Defence Counsel,  Mr Abiodun Olaide,  urged the court to grant his clients bail in the most liberal terms.

The Magistrate, Mrs Olubukola Awodele overruled the bail application by the defence counsel and ordered the defendants to be remanded in prison custody.

The case was adjourned to July 6, 2018 for mention.
