Defender Claud Adjapong has signed a contract extension with Serie A side Sassuolo.
The right-back of Ghanaian origin, who currently represents Italy at the youth stage, earned a first team place last summer and excelled in the few games he featured in.
After courting interests from top sides like the Milan clubs as well as Napoli, the Neroverdi have managed to convince Adjapong to continue his development at the Mapei Stadium.
The 19-year-old’s new deal will see him at Sassuolo up to the summer of 2022.
Claud Adjapong made nine league appearances and scored once against Cagliari in his debut season in the Italian top division. He was handed games in the Coppa Italia and Sassuolo’s Europa League campaign.
