Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Niger Tornadoes are certain to lose the service of top striker Chidiebere Ajoku in the on-going mid-season transfer window.

The former Heartland marksman has already netted four goals in nine matches for the Minna landlords in the on-going top-flight.

Ajoku is rumoured to be romancing with the top-flights Wikki Tourists with the possibility of joining the Bauchi Elephants for the remainder of the elite league.

A source from the Ikon Allah Boys camp informed that the management of the Bauchi outfit has written to their counterparts in Minna to open discussions on the possible transfer of the player to Wikki Tourists.

“We are aware that striker Chidiebere Ajoku wants to force a move to top-flights Wikki Tourists in the mid-season transfer window.

“Ajoku did not travel with his side for the top-flight matchday 18 clash at Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) in Ibadan.

“An unconfirmed report had it that the player was sighted around the camp of Wikki Tourists in Bauchi.

“However, the rumour was confirmed on Monday following a letter of request from the Bauchi side management to their counterparts in Minna on possible negotiation and transfer of the player.

“I learnt that Niger Tornadoes management has replied the letter to its Wikki Tourists’ counterparts indicating readiness to negotiate.

“Tornadoes are known to be favourably disposed to release any player who wishes to leave the club so as it stands Ajoku is most unlikely to wear the Tornadoes colours when the second stanzaof the league commences,” said the impeccable source to supersport.com.

The Minna outfit who are fourth on the league log on 27 points from a possible 54 are certain to be without their hitman, Ajoku, when they face former champions Kano Pillars in Sunday’s top-flight matchday 19 clash at adopted ground Confluence Stadium in Lokoja.
