President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday in Osogbo, State of Osun encouraged the people of the state to vote for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in the September 22 governorship election, Gboyega Oyetola to entrench the wind of change and development in the state.

Buhari noted that it is imperative for the people to support the Continuity of Good Governance which the Rauf Aregbesola administration has strived to put in place in the last 8 years to ensure progress and advancement in all ramifications.

Buhari urged residents of the state not to allow the ‘dark days’ to return by coming out in their numbers and voting during the governorship election on September 22.

His words came at the Grand Finale of the APC candidate at the Osogbo Stadium.

The President said, “Nigeria must be free of corrupt and selfish leaders. The children of all Nigerians will get quality infrastructure, education, healthcare and job opportunities.

“This is why you must all come and vote for APC on the 22nd of September 2018.

“Osun must remain APC, Osun must remain on the path of progress. Osun must not allow the dark days to return”.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole mocked the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ademola Adeleke, for failing to show up for the Osun governorship debate organised by Channels Television on Sunday.

He said, “I understand that there was this debate that was held a few days ago and one of the aspirants was dancing skelewu while the debate was going on.

“When they asked him, he said his motor broke down. May the government of Osun State never break down.

“If it hasn’t broken down in Aregbesola’s time, it cannot break down in Oyetola’s time.”
