Boripe North LCDA Empowers Youths, Farmers

As part of the palliative measures in eradicating unemployment and poverty in Boripe North Local Council Development Area, Iree, the management of the council under the Chairmanship of Hon. Idowu Ismaila Abiodun distributed cooking gas cylinders/ burners to food vendors and snack makers.

Also, agricultural tools and agro chemicals were distributed to Farmers in the Council Area in order to boost agricultural output.

Speaking at the occasion which took place at the LCDA Secretariat Hall, Iree, the Council boss assured the people that the programme was just a tip of the iceberg considering several people-oriented programmes the administration has in the pipeline.

He enjoined the beneficiaries to make good use of all materials given them for maximum output and turn the economic activities of the Council Area around, urging them to also ensure proper maintenance and security of the materials.

Idowu, also used the occasion to appreciate all party faithful for showing their love for the party by ensuring the emergence of Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola as the next Governor of the state through popular votes, saying it was a clear indication that the people actually wanted “good work of Ogbeni Aregbesola to continue.”

He equally implored party members and other electorates to vote massively for APC in the coming elections in 2019 for members of House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate as well as President Muhammadu Buhari.”

The APC Ward 6 Leader, Mr Adeyanju Rafiu, Mrs Folasade Olaniyan woman leader ward10, as well as Youth Leader of ward 11, Pastor Adeyanju Samuel, in their various speeches at the occasion, appreciated the government of APC for the empowerment programme which indeed aimed at adding values to the lives of the people of the council area.

The Council Manager, Comrade Tunde Bello while giving the closing remarks commended the Governor of the State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for creating the LCDA, saying, the gesture has brought government closer to the people, just as it has given some of the career officers the opportunities to step up in their career which history cannot forget.

Among the dignitaries who attended the programme were the Leader of the council’\s parliament, the vice chairman, other councillors and all heads of departments.
