BAMBI Farms Partners Osun Govt. On Supply of Palm Kernel

One of the leading Companies in Nigeria that produces palm kernel Oil, BAMBI Farms has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of the Sate of Osun on High Quality palm kernel supply to the Company.

According to a statement by the information officer in the state ministry of agriculture, Jelili Abiodun, the signing was done at the ministry’s Conference Hall of the state Secretariat in Osogbo. 

Speaking on the agreement, the Chairman BAMBI Farms which has one of its branches in Ifetedo in Ife South area of the State, Prince Ade Ayoola  disclosed that the company decided to partner with the Osun Government having realised that part of the mandate given to the Osun Produce Board is to guarantee Quality and increase quantity of all Agricultural products in the State which is also a very important aspect for the success of the Company.

Ayoola noted that for continued sustainability of the company, there is need to have access to the right quality and quantity of the needed  raw materials (Palm kernel), which has become a major challenge.

He explained that the creation of Osun Produce Board by Governor Rauf Aregbesola is a pointer to one of the dynamism of Governance introduced by the present Administration, adding that Osun Produce Board is now a Comfort zone to solve mirage of challenges confronting the business.

He further disclosed that Osun being one of the highest producers of palm kernel in the South West, would solve about 60% of the Company requirements of 250 Tones of Palm Kernel per day.

In his opening remarks, the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Osun Produce Board, Dr Yemi Adegoke disclosed that the Board would serve as a middle man between the BAMBI Company and the palm kernel Merchants.

Dr Adegoke said that he is optimistic that the arrangement would improve profitability and Internally Generated Revenue(IGR) of the State with ease.

He therefore promised that the State would fulfil its part of the agreement by commitment to be delivering  150 Tones per week while the first delivery will begin by March this year.

He also assured the company of the mandate to source for reliable Merchants, guaranteed quality, make payment and ensure timely delivery of the required quantity.
