The All Progressives Congress in the state of Osun has condoled with the Uniq FM, Ilesa on the death of its chairman, Sir Olu Abiola.
The party through a statement signed by its Director of Publicity, Research & Strategy, Barr Kunle Oyatomi expressed shock over the demise of elder statesman whose contribution to the state is unparalleled, said it was a colossal loss to the state and the Ijesha land.
‘Chief Abiola was a gentleman extra-ordinary, a die-hard progressive and a business colossus since early 60s.
‘His lifestyle endeared him to many people, high and low in the society’, the party said.
Also, Peoples Democratic Party in a condolence message issued by the state chairman, Hon Soji Adagunodo said the deceased, late Olu Abiola lived a life worthy of emulation and with his death the Ijesha has lost a great son.
Chief Abiola, popularly known as ‘Baba Olomi’ died on Sunday at Obafemi Awolowo Teaching Hospital, Ile Ife, after a brief illness.
The APC prayed that God should grant the family, management and staff of Uniq FM and the Ijesha, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
