The coroner inquest into the death of Senator Isiaka Adeleke has been adjourned till the 30th of May 2017 for the final verdict.

The coroner, Chief Magistrate Olusegun Ayilara, stated that the inquest was set up on the 8th of May and started sitting on the 10th. The chief magistrate also gave a statement that the court had summoned 15 persons of which only 10 had yielded the summon.

He further added that the list of absentees was published in various news dailies. He said the court would not be held to ransom by any of the absentees while indicating that necessary disciplinary actions against those who have erred.

Unconfirmed report indicates that one of the absentee witnesses, Mr Dipo Faboroje, has since departed the shores of the country, hence attempt to get the summon across to him proved abortive.
