After Jos Bombing, Nigerian Government Ranks Worst Government In World

The Jos bombings of Tuesday, May 20th, 2014 which claimed more than 200 lives according to latest counts, have pushed Nigeria to formally occupy the first position in the ranking of world nations with the worst governments in history.

Other criteria which recently moved Nigeria up the list include:
Corruption: With Nigeria’s leadership admitting that they could not account for up to or more than $20 billion dollars oil revenue earnings discovered missing in a single 18 month period examined; the nation’s finance minister admitting this to BBC and the official government engagement of Pricewater house international firm further confirming this financial mishap, Nigeria secured its position as the most haplessly corrupt nation in the post world war history of the world.

Poverty: The rebasing of Nigeria’s economy, setting Nigeria as the largest economy in Africa, while revealing the true economic position of Africa’s largest nation, simultaneously recertified Nigeria as the nation in the top position for worst leadership in social welfare and opportunities for the people. With 70% of the nation living under a-dollar-a-day, economically factored, Nigeria has the poorest people of any nation in the world today. With the rebased economy rating, Nigeria has the most unparalleled HDI (Human Development Index) to revenue and economy ratio of all nations. Poorest people in the Nigeria case, is derived from or correlates with poorest leadership.

Pollution: Despite new technologies of oil exploration, like fracking, pushing some ‘developed’ nations further down the chart due to increasing confirmed cases of drilling-related health hazards, Nigeria has secured its position as having the most polluted shore-line in the world, thanks to serial worst administrations. Gas flaring continues in Nigeria till date. Bayelsa state which currently reports 40 oil spills per month established itself as the most polluted piece of land on the earth in post world war history, approximating Hiroshima and Nagasaki and more recently Fukushima, in proportion of catastrophe. Nigeria ties with Japan as the two nations with the greatest levels of ecological pollution, though in terms of leadership attribution, Nigeria maintained the top spot.

Terror: Nigeria in 2014 reported the most dangerous events of high sea piracy in the world. Nigeria in the end of 2013 and 2014 surpassed Mexico in kidnapping, recording the cruelest and second highest single abduction event in recent history. In the end of 2013 and the first quarter of 2014, Nigeria surpassed Syria, Libya, Iraq and Central African Republic, CAR in worst and most deadly acts of terrorism and sectarian violence. The Nyanya bombing was ranked the fifth worst bombing of its kind in world history post 1970 by the Mineta Transportation Institute (MTI). The Jos bombing with over 200 reported dead in one attack, is second only to 9/11 and the disputed Syria chemical weapons attack. In combined values, with between 40-80,000 killed in the four years of largely unchecked Boko Haram violence, with over 4000 killed in the first quarter of 2014 alone, Nigeria has fast outpaced the world in deadly terror.

Nigeria’s leadership in December of 2013 secured the world top position in insecurity and failure to protect life and discourage terror. Current rankings put Nigeria’s leadership second only to Hitler after surpassing Saddam Hussein, in the current century in terms of deliberate and government supervised internal wastage of life.

I dare President Jonathan to go on campaign train at this moment in our dear country. Someone need advise him that he need to stay focus and forget all the unnecessary side distraction and find a lasting solution to the problem on the ground, security and Boko Haram.

If it is too much for Dr Goodluck Jonathan to pilot the Nation affairs, I think it would wiser for him to resign. Because the truth of the matter is that we are at the state of anarchy!

Lastly, does Nigeria have a functioning government at the Federal level? This is just too much for me to take or understand this level of violence and nobody cares!

This is just america’s propaganda to make nigeria fall in 2015. Becos since the beginning of this world, i am yet to see or hear of any country in the world where terrorism is biting the country and the media focus their attention on the government, castigating it, making the terrorist feel superior! All these never happened until those girls were kidnap. Now let me put this question to you guys, when death ridden crisis or terrorism erupts in an area, will you continue staying there until you are killed? This is why i will call for the government of borno to be removed becos a sensible government should know that when there is war, her citizens should be evacuated, students should stop going to school, activities should stop automatically! But this useless borno government is still there paying salaries to uneffective civil servant! It is high time the president does something about this. Now my fellow nigerian, this is for you, you criticize your government like there is no tomorrow, see if nigeria falls today you all will fall! america will suck you dry, kill you the way iraqis were killed every day! And the same foreign medias that criticise your government will criticise you again! They would be chilling in their various countries watching you die like fowls on television! Then you would say in those day when nigeria was nigeria! See we cant over turn the corruption that has eaten our country but can amend it by coming together and fighting our common enemy to make nigeria a better place for you and i and our children also! Lets also pray for nigeria and jonathan.

Now this is for you osun defender. You are a one sided jornalist, all your news i read are all against jonathan and his government. Well i can’t blame you! After all you work for the opposition and they pay you to bastardise the image of my country! You are all losers! Were you so hungry that you would always have to bastardise the image of your country for peanuts? you unpatriotic punks! Well a hungry man is an angry man! Of all thing the newspaper of the state i hail from! Shame on you! You can even betray your children for money!

@eniola you are shallow minded and immensely biased. in what rationale can you decisively conclude that this article is meant to “bastardise the image of your country” this are hard facts not a propaganda or controversy against a non existing government. do you not agree with this article? do you not agree that it is time for us to arise as a nation, to sit and stop living in ignorance and bondage. nothing is right with this nation. and as a nation we have to admit and accept this so as to find a way forward.

@Eniola you are very correct, it is not fair at all for nigerians to loose confidence on nigeria. some pple can even sell this country for peanuts. nigeria is bigger than any individual and any political party. come to think of it, if our founding fathers behave like this will we meet nigeria. plzz lets come 2geda irrespective of our tribes and religion and fight our common enermy. Is not about GEJ resigning, it wouldn’t solve the problem on ground. plzz my pple reject this shame impose on us. thank you. God bless nigeria.
