The Dele Ologun Foundation (DOF) has given no fewer than 100 indigent students from Akure North local government area of Ondo state on Tuesday free JAMB UTME forms, as part of effort to boost educational development in the state.

Speaking during the distribution of the forms on Tuesday, the donor, Mr. Dele Ologun, said he decided to invest in the education of the youths in the area to bring development to the local government and the state as a whole.

While speaking on the modalities in selecting the beneficiaries, he stated that the students were selected from Iju, Itaogbolu, Ogbese, Oba-Ile and other communities within the local government area, saying education remains the best and only legacy anyone can give to the youths.

He said, “DOF is an independent private organisation that is committed to assisting the less privileged in capacity building and economic development.

“We support primary and secondary school education, health, educational institution and render community/social services among the young and old, male and female, students and artisans, widows and widowers etc.

“Distribution of 100 JAMB forms and N5m grants for three outstanding students from this local government is borne out of our desire to make education accessible to some of our students that may find it difficult to obtain JAMB forms.

“This will enable them gain admission into higher institution and also alleviate the financial challenges experienced due to the current economic recession.”
