10 Injured In Osun Road Crash

Ten people have been reportedly injured following a ghastly accident involving a blue coloured Toyota Previa with registration number BDG326BW on Friday evening in Osogbo, State of Osun.

It was gathered that the accident occurred along the Gbongan-Ife road close to the Adebisi Akande Trumpet Bridge.

According to the Spokesperson of the Osun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Agnes Ogungbemi, “the remote cause of the accident was dangerous driving and speed violation on the part of the driver of the bus.”

No passenger was killed and all the 10 injured passengers; two adult males, five adult females and three male children were safely conveyed to a private hospital in Ipetumodu town for treatment.

Ogungbem advised drivers against driving above the stipulated speed limit of 100 kilometers per hour.

She also cautioned drivers, especially commercial transporters to always consider the safety of their passengers whenever they are on the wheels, adding that it is only
drivers who get to their destination safely that would be able to embark on another journey.
